A place born from faith, family, and the desire to slow down.
When this little piece of land first became ours, the surveyor told us we had to give it a name. At the time, our firstborn son, Briar, was not even a year old. Naming the property after him felt like the most natural choice — a way to mark both a new beginning for our family and the hope of something lasting. That’s how Briar Ridge came to be.

What started as an opportunity to help our family turned into something much more — a peaceful retreat tucked away on six acres of Indiana countryside, surrounded by trees, small trails, and the quiet hum of creation. Over time, we realized this place wasn’t meant to be ours alone. It was meant to be shared — as a space where others could rest, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters.

At Briar Ridge Cabin, our hope is simple: that every guest leaves feeling lighter than when they arrived. Whether you’re coming for a weekend getaway, a personal retreat, or time to rest and recharge your spirit, we’ve tried to create a space where peace feels easy to find.

We believe in the beauty of simplicity — fresh air, good rest, and meaningful quiet. Here, you’ll find no Wi-Fi, no cable, and no endless to-do list. Just the sound of the wind through the trees, the warmth of a fire under the stars, and the freedom to slow down.
Many things are provided at the cabin including complimentary breakfast items, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, laundry soap, dish soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, bath robes, towels, paper towels and toilet paper. Bring cash for the snack bar and your own fishing gear. In the cabin you'll find a selection of movies, puzzles, games and books.
The Space
Our cozy 16x40 cabin was designed for comfort and care in every detail. You’ll find a queen bed, private sauna, fully equipped kitchen, and living area with movies to unwind in the evening. Outside, a roundabout driveway leads to a peaceful pond stocked with fish, quiet trails for wandering, and a fire pit perfect for roasting marshmallows or stargazing late into the night.
